The National Super Sedan Series has just wound up, with some of the toughest Super Sedan competitors vying for top honours. Said to be the most competitive series to date, it saw Australias best take on 10 rounds throughout the country starting off in Queensland and travelling through New South Wales to Victoria, finishing up in South Australia.


Mt Gambiers Dave Gartner, onboard his GT Bobcats, Maxwill Racing Engines Super Sedan rounded out the series in a very well deserved 3rd placing. This is a great result for Gartner, competing against some of the countries best, as well as for Maxwill Racing Engines. The Maxwill name is sononimous in Australian Speedway as one of the premier Sprintcar Engine builders, but has proved the versatility of the team, building a top level Super Sedan Engine.
Throughout the series, Gartner was always looking as a contender, with a Second place finish early in the series at Toowoomba's Charlton Speedway. A consistent end to the series with a number of 3rd and 4th place finishes, was Gartner cement his place in the series, wrapping it up to receive the 3rd place Series Trophy.
