The American Sprintcar team of Craig Dollansky, Paul McMahan and Lucas Wolfe, driving the Robin Dawkins, Chickenfeed, Maxwill Racing Engines cars completed a clean sweep of the USA v Tasmania Sprintcar Test Series at Latrobe on Saturday night, wrapping it up 2-0.

Running the test series format, the three car USA team took on a three car Tasmanian team consisting of Shaun Dobson, Kurt Luttrell and Jamie Bricknell, doing battle in six heats. Despite winning 3 heats a piece, the Americans were too strong, with more consistant finishing results, taking the score to 11-10, winning the night overall and taking the series 2-0.

Later in the night Dollansky wowed the crowd with an amazing drive in the 30 lap feature, which not only included the 6 test competitors, but also the top 11 local Tasmanian drivers who had been competing seperately on the same programme. The 6 test competitors started from the rear of the grid, in reverse order to where they finished in the heat races.

South Aussie Jamie Cobby, driving the House Racing, Maxwill Racing Engines Sprintcar qualified for the front row of the feature, entertaining the crowd for a battle for the lead in the opening stages, but it was the charge of Dollansky from grid 18, capturing most of the attention. By the seventh lap he was in sixth place and carving his way through the traffic , hitting the lead on lap 17.

Despite suffering a deflating front tyre late in the race, Dollansky continued dominating to record a stunning victory. Dollansky's teammate Paul McMahan, also onboard one of the Chickefeed, Maxwill Racing Engines, Sprintcars, who started from grid 17, also put on a show, rocketing to a fourth place finish behind South Aussie Jamie Cobby in third position.
