Ken Sartori couldnt have pulled off a better performance on Saturday night, winning Round 2 of the Souther Thunder Sprintcar Series at Margeret River Speedway in his Philmac, Maxwill Racing Engines, Maxim.

Time trials at the start of the night was topped by Shaun Bradford wheeling his brand new Carahual, Maxwill Racing Engines, Cool, ahead of Myalup Missile Jamie Maiolo aboard his LJM Produce, Maxwill Racing Engines, J&J.

The heat race wins saw a mix of talent with young gun Brad Maiolo taking a win in his LJM Produce, Maxwill Racing Engines, J&J, as well as Ken Sartori and David Ellement in his Hagstrom Drilling, Maxwill Racing Engines Sprintcar.

With Ken Sartori starting alongside Bradford with Jamie Maiolo out of position 3. Unfortunately Shaun Bradford crashed out on the first lap, causing a race stoppage. From there it was game on for Ken Sartori, taking control of the race with Jamie Maiolo and Kris Coyle in his brand new Remote Area Concrete, Maxwill Racing Engines, Murphy in hot pursuit. Experiencing a couple of race stoppages the trio set out to a commanding lead, and when the chequeres were waved that is how they finished, Ken Sartori bringing home the first win for the season for the Cowara Contractors, Philmac team. A well deserved second position for Jamie Maiolo in his LJM Produce car helps him in his series lead, with the ever improving Kris Coyle finishing in third.
